The Rosette Family
Tina Rosette and her children moved to Florida in March 2016 and fell on hard times after not being able to find stable housing due to financial constraints. Tina and her family stayed in several shelters, hotels and campgrounds. Eckerd Kids Housing Case Manager and Family Coach, Briauna Hagins, was able to offer much needed support to the Rosettes. After months of searching, and Tina being persistent and determined, Tina was able to find affordable housing for her and her family.
The Rosettes have been able to get settled into their new home and are working on becoming stable as a family unit. Tina is also working towards opening an art business. Her daughter has made friends and is looking forward to starting school this fall. Furthermore, her son has been able to obtain a job and is working on receiving his high school diploma. Of course, life throws additional curve-balls, and Tina’s car died. However, with the help of one of Eckerd Kids’ great community partners, Love, INC., Tina was able to receive a van. The staff of Eckerd Kids Brevard Family Support Services is so proud of the Rosette family and is overjoyed to be a part of their Second Chance!
