Lisa Peterkin-Coore

My journey to Eckerd Connects has been a long but eventful one that has played a crucial part in shaping my entire being as a supporter of excellence and strong work ethic. My story begins in Montego Bay, Jamaica, where I was born and raised in a multi-racial household. Diversity in not something that comes up often where I am from, but it does play an important part of who I am today. As a new mother, I decided to relocate to Tampa to seek more opportunities for myself and to satisfy my ambitions. I have been living in Tampa now for the past twenty years.

It took a lot of hard work and dedication, but I was able to overcome a lot of obstacles to get to where I am today. Nonetheless, my perseverance paid off as I earned a master’s degree in Business Administration. Only a couple of us in my family have been fortunate enough to achieve… I am so very proud and grateful that this organization recognizes and embraces diversity as a part of its culture.
