Teens Celebrate New Jobs With Eckerd Connects Staff

We recently celebrated two young men who completed our Eckerd Connects Project Bridge program and landed jobs paying $13 per hour at one of our local employment partners. Their future goals include opening bank accounts and saving for a car.

The Annie E. Casey Foundation reports that there are 74,000 teens not working or enrolled in school in Florida and over 1.1 million across the country. Employment and economic stability are key factors in preventing entry into the juvenile justice and child welfare systems.

The best social services program you can offer any person is a job! Interested in employing one of our talented youth? Contact us to learn how you can get involved.
