Young man lands dream job with the help of Eckerd Connects Workforce

Austin had always been ambitious — but after his high school graduation, he was having zero luck landing a job.

So in 2017, he took a chance and gave the career experts at Eckerd Connects a call. For Austin, it was “probably the most important step” in his life.

While working with his career coach, Austin gained his National Retail Federation Professional Customer Service certificate and his Florida Ready to Work award. Soon Austin  began working full-time for A & N Corporation as a CNC Lathe Operator earning $14 an hour. After six months on the job, he earned substantially raise.

“Eckerd, specifically Randy and Victoria, helped me grow from my degree major into my dream field which is manufacturing,” said Austen. “The program is beyond fantastic and I highly recommend it.”
