Alex Reed has been with Eckerd Connects for over 20 years and is currently Chief of Programs. As Chief of Programs, Alex leads all of Eckerd Connects’ program operations which serve nearly 30,000 families a year on annual revenues of $190M with over 2,000 staff. All told, Eckerd Connects operates over 170 programs across 18 states and the District of Columbia with services spanning the Job Corps, workforce development, and child & family service sectors.
Alex has been with Eckerd Connects for 20 years in roles ranging from Chief of Staff, Chief Strategy Officer, and Chief of Performance & Quality. Alex is a former USAF Captain, serving honorably before co-founding Sevis Systems, a mobile telecommunications equipment start-up backed by $12M in venture capital. Alex attended the Georgia Institute of Technology on a 4-year Electrical Engineering scholarship, graduating with Highest Honors, and the London Business School as a Sloan Fellow and Philip Langsdale Scholarship recipient, earning a Masters in Leadership and Strategy with Distinction.
Results-oriented and passionate about positively impacting others, Alex believes one of a leader’s prime tasks is emotional leadership, to cultivate positive employees that embrace diverse thoughts and that can overcome difficult challenges.
