At ground level, we see how human-serving nonprofits like Eckerd Kids are impacting communities every day. However, organizations often have a difficult time measuring that impact in ways that win them supporters and establishing best practices to improve their operations.
To help human-serving nonprofits measure — and maximize — community impact, the Alliance for Strong Families and Communities, a national peer network advocating for the human-serving nonprofit sector of which Eckerd Kids is a member, released the Commitments Assessment Tool as a complement to its Commitments of High-Impact Nonprofit Organizations framework.
The Assessment provides customized analysis based on an organization’s maturity in the following Commitment areas:

By evaluating organizations’ strengths and challenges, the Assessment uncovers exemplary performance. As more organizations complete the Assessment, accumulated data will pinpoint the most powerful drivers of impact, resulting in an unprecedented set of best practices for our sector.
