We help people connect with people’: DeGroodt Library to host community resource event

Staff hopes the event will show community members what resources are available to them in and out of the library.

In an age where so much information is online, Stephanie Delaney wants libraries to remain a place for resources.

As the youth services supervisor at Franklin T. DeGroodt Library in Palm Bay, Delaney noticed a need in the community during a fall festival held at the library last year. She watched people congregate around a table offering resources for substance abuse prevention, homelessness and parenting education.
