This is the story of Paxton Lewis, age 17, who grew in an unstable household and became involved with drugs and alcohol at a young age. In 7th grade her mother’s parental rights were terminated and her dad signed away his rights, leaving her a virtual orphan. She was helped by E-Nini-Hassee, Eckerd’s residential program for girls in Floral City. This past September, Paxton was adopted by Merlyn and Harry Lewis.
