Team Grace has Grace to Share

Grace McBride is an 11-year-old on a mission to make a difference in South Brevard County. She has started a volunteer organization, Team Grace, which holds regular events and fundraisers for families in need and to promote disability awareness. This past March, Team Grace was awarded the Children’s Hero of the Year for 2015 in the Time category from the Eckerd nonprofit child and family service organization.

“To know that such a young girl, just 11 years old, has the heart, passion and drive to spotlight childhood disability awareness, as well as the challenges facing families with children with disabilities, was so inspiring,” the Eckerd Director of Hi-Five & Community Services, Stanley Brizz, said. “It truly shows that community leadership can start at an early age.”
