Zack entered the Eckerd Connects Workforce Development program in September 2020 to gain the knowledge and acquire new skills that would help him excel in the workforce.
Zack originally came to us with no secondary education experience; he did not know what career path he wanted to do, but had goals of earning his High School Diploma & landing his first job.
Throughout his participation, Zack worked diligently in all the trainings, participated in one-on-one career exploration appointments, and successfully obtained certifications in both Safe Staff Food Handler and American Hotel & Lodging Education Institute (AHLEI) for Certified Maintenance Employee.
Zack was grateful that he had the opportunity to work on his High School Diploma and officially became a High School graduate in April of 2021.
Since becoming a graduate Zack started his new job at Publix! He is excited to see the opportunities to come and is eager to utilize the skills he gained from this program. Congrats, Zack!
