Success Stories | Isaiah

Isaiah came to the program needing to find his niche. He got into some trouble with the justice system and needed an opportunity to move forward in life.

He was referred to the program with the hope he could gain the skills needed to find a career he could build toward. The traditional high school setting was not working for him and caused him to lose his passion for learning.

In the program, Isaiah completed his Work Readiness and Life Skills along with his Occupational training for his Safe Staff Food Handler. However, he was struggling to earn his GED. Isaiah was dealing with a lack of motivation because of his difficulties in the previous school setting, and he also missed a few study sessions when he had no transportation. Despite these bumps, Isaiah was able to complete his GED.

Isaiah is now pursuing a career in the lighting industry. He has been working with a company that refurbishes chandeliers and completes lighting projects. Currently, Isaiah is working as a temporary employee for this company; he is hoping to move to New York to start this job full time.

He is also looking at his options to continue his education. We know Isaiah will be successful in whatever he pursues.
