Success Stories | Denise
Denise first heard about Eckerd Connects through her grandson’s Guardian Ad Litem as she was searching for help in finding a place to live. Her current home had electrical problems and was considered unsafe to live in at the time which forced her to move out.
Denise called Eckerd Connects where she was connected to Claudia, her housing case manager. We helped Denise with move-in costs, deposits, utilities, clothing for her grandson, furniture, and even a car repair that allowed her to have the transportation she desperately needed to succeed.
Today, Denise is happily married and raising her grandson. Denise and her husband are in the process of adopting her grandson.
Denise is now working as a Nursing Assistant at a local nursing home facility and doing well. Denise does not know where she would be today if it were not for the help from Eckerd Connects and working closely with Claudia as her case manager.
