Real Stories of Impact

Jameisha is a graduate of Jacksonville Job Corps and secured her industry-recognized credential in Clinical Medical Assisting. She was then accepted into the Job Corps Advanced Career Training College Program and attends Florida State College Jacksonville (FSCJ) and will soon complete her training to become a Registered Nurse.  Jameisha was inducted into the FSCJ Honor Society and selected as the president due to having the highest GPA of 4.0.

“Job Corps helped me earn a tuition-free education at the Jacksonville campus. I completed the Clinical Medical Assistant trade and now I’m enrolled at Florida State at Jacksonville on track to become a Registered Nurse.”

Jesus was able to earn his high school diploma and find full-time employment through Eckerd Connects’ Workforce Development program. Our Success Awards program helped him with car repairs to give Jesus a reliable way to get to work and take his daughter to daycare.

“After an accident, I didn’t know how to get back on track. Eckerd Connects helped me find a job and work toward my GED, all while supporting my young daughter.”

Twelve-year-old Jaylon learned to control his anger, improve his behavior and start achieving good grades after just six months of participating in the Eckerd Connects’ Louisiana Wraparound Services program.
