Sonny’s BBQ To The Rescue Provides Free Lunch to Nearly 170 Eckerd Employees
Nearly 70 employees at the Eckerd Support Center offices in Clearwater were treated to lunch today courtesy of Sonny’s BBQ To The Rescue. As part of its “Random Acts of BBQ” program, Sonny’s BBQ To The Rescue served lunch at no charge to the Eckerd employees as a way of showing appreciation for the work they do in the community.
“Eckerd is proud to be recognized by Sonny’s BBQ To The Rescue,” said Jody Grutza, Eckerd’s Chief of External Relations. “We are thankful to Mr. Titen and his team for honoring our three office locations with their generous donation.”
Created by a Sonny’s BBQ Franchise owner Edward Titen, the Sonny’s BBQ To The Rescue program is a not-for-profit organization that seeks to give back to the three communities where their restaurants are located: Palm Harbor, Largo and New Port Richey. In addition to showing appreciation to community workers and first responders, the program aims to seek out those in need of a helping hand and to help improve the quality of life for those less fortunate.
