How Does Eckerd Approach Workforce Development?

As one of the nation’s largest non-profit providers of Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) services, Eckerd Connects takes a dual approach—serving both the people who need opportunity and the employers who create it.

We meet individuals where they are, designing personalized career pathways that help youth, adults, and dislocated workers gain the skills, confidence, and support they need to succeed.

At the same time, we work closely with employers, workforce boards, and community stakeholders to strengthen local economies, align training with industry needs, and connect job-ready participants to in-demand careers.

By combining skills training, career coaching, supportive services, and strategic employer partnerships, Eckerd Connects ensures that participants build lasting careers while employers build a stronger, more skilled workforce.

What Are Eckerd's Results?

  • 8,600 youth and adults served directly each year through workforce development programs.
  • 250,000+ individuals are supported annually through One-Stop Career Centers with access to training, career services, and business engagement.
  • Success stories include participants earning certifications, completing high school diplomas, and securing full-time employment with advancement potential.
