Supporting Families with Children Facing Risk Factors

The Childcare Stipend Program supports families with children facing risk factors by providing stipends for quality respite/childcare services. These funds offer temporary relief to parents, reinforcing developmental skills and reducing negative behaviors. By empowering parents to select and hire their own respite providers, the program ensures safe, structured, and tailored experiences for children. This proactive approach integrates respite care seamlessly into the normal, wrap-around services for families.

Through the generous support of The Department of Health and Human Services, the Childcare Stipend Program is available in Western North Carolina only, Buncombe and Henderson Counties.
