Angel’s Watch is a voluntary respite care program in Western North Carolina designed to provide temporary, nurturing support for children ages 0–10 whose families are facing difficult life challenges. When parents or caregivers are navigating crises such as medical emergencies, mental health needs, incarceration, or other unexpected circumstances, Angel’s Watch offers a safe, licensed host home environment for up to 90 days.
During this time, trained professionals and compassionate host caregivers work together to support families, helping ensure children remain safe and supported while their parents focus on resolving the issues at hand.
KEY FEATURES:
- Children not in the custody of county child welfare services
- Placed in licensed Angel’s Watch host homes for their well-being
- Families facing crises (housing insecurity, incarceration, medical/mental health) can temporarily place their children
- Program managers offer mentoring and connect families with community resources

If you or someone you know is experiencing a temporary emergency such as:
- Hospitalization
- In-patient substance abuse and rehabilitation
- Mental health, medical or other emergencies
- Incarceration
