Clearwater, Fla. – The Seminole Lake Rotary Club recently announced they will host a massive initiative to help foster children this holiday season. The Rotary Club introduced the Red Sled in 2015 as an annual project to fill the Christmas needs of the foster children Eckerd Youth Alternatives serves. This year’s goal is to fill the sled with unwrapped gifts or money to be used for the hundreds of children who are aging out of the foster care system.
This year the sled will make numerous appearances around the greater Seminole area including a holiday concert, a special Red Party, holiday night parade and ugly sweater pub crawl. There are events for children and adults to help support the more than 2500 foster youth throughout Pinellas County in need of a holiday gift this season.
