At the 6th annual “Reunited – A Celebration of Families”, sponsored by Eckerd Community Alternatives, a dozen of parents celebrated reunification with their children at the county courthouse. All told, 434 Pinellas families have been reunited this year. Another 675 families were reunified last year.
Eckerd, along with Directions for Living, Lutheran Services Florida, the Guardian Ad Litem Foundation, the state Department of Children and Families, Personal Enrichment Mental Health Services, foster parents and others, work together to help parents who have been separated from their children for a variety reasons.
