Eckerd Connects adds four new board members to its community-based care child welfare lead agencies.
Dr. Donald L. Dixon– Dr. Dixon has decades of child welfare experience including serving as a District Administrator for the Department of Children and Families, a Research Associate Professor at the Florida Mental Health Institute – University of South Florida, the Chief Operating Officer of the Children’s Board of Hillsborough County, and the Division Director of Hillsborough County Children’s Services. Dr. Dixon received his BA from the University of Florida, his MSW from Florida State University, and his PhD from the University of South Florida
Dr. Roxann McNeish – Dr. McNeish is a Research Assistant Professor at the University of South Florida where she has been employed since 2006. Prior to working at the University of South Florida, Dr. McNeish was a therapist and case manager. Dr. McNeish has authored numerous publications and technical reports as well as secured over $3M in funded research. McNeish received her bachelor’s degree, MSW, MPH, ad PhD from the University of South Florida.
Pasco and Pinellas
Ms. Liz Sutherland – Ms. Sutherland grew up in an abusive home along with her siblings until having the courage to call social services and rescue herself and her siblings, ultimately ending up in foster care. She graduated from Western Carolina University with degrees in Computer Information Systems and Criminal Justice. Liz now works for a professional services firm and has authored No Ordinary Liz, a book chronicling her incredible life story.
Dr. Ricardo Davis – Dr. Davis is an experienced senior level executive who currently serves as the Regional Executive Director of Head Start and Early Head Start programs for Lutheran Services of Florida. Dr. Davis has also been a professor at both St. Petersburg College and the University of South Florida, and prior to that worked at the Pinellas County Urban League and Danka Office Imaging. Dr. Davis is also a proud veteran, serving in the United States Air Force during Vietnam.
