More Foster Parents Sought as Need Grows

A new report on Florida’s foster care system finds that more children are in need of safe, nurturing foster homes. In fact, the state’s seeing the highest number of foster children in eight-years.

Right now, in Hillsborough County, there are 3,000 kids in the foster care system managed by Eckerd Youth Alternatives. The organization and families alike say the rewards you will get by becoming a foster family outweigh any sacrifices.
