Thank you so much for your interest in Davion’s inspiring story. The overwhelming response has been heartwarming to say the least. We have received thousands of inquiries from media outlets as well as from those interested in adopting and/or supporting him. In addition, we have received thousands of calls from others interested in learning more about how they can support the more than 300 children waiting for forever families currently in the Tampa Bay area. We kindly ask for your patience as we continue responding to all who have reached out.

As Davion’s wellbeing continues to be our foremost concern, effective today, Eckerd is not scheduling any additional interviews or other media opportunities with him. We greatly appreciate your interest, but our goal is to allow Davion to return to his normal life while also allowing Eckerd to focus our attention on finding Davion his forever family. Davion’s story serves as a reminder that there are thousands of other children waiting for forever families across the country. We are very open to discussing what Eckerd is doing to ensure that moving forward every child can experience the love of a forever family.
