Mr. Sam Kolapo has over 25 years of Job Corps leadership experience. A proven Campus Director for over 12 years, Mr. Kolapo has served in various campuses including Gulfport, Bamberg, Gainesville, Albuquerque, and Little Rock. Recently he served as Campus Director for Pinellas County Job Corps Campus in St. Petersburg, Florida and was a member of the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and St. Petersburg WIOA Board. Currently, he is the Campus Director for the Albuquerque Job Corps Campus in New Mexico.
Mr. Kolapo began his Job Corps career as an academic instructor and progressively earned the positions of Career Counselor, Academic and Vocational Manager, Student Support Manager, Career Services Manager, Career Development Director, Deputy Director, and ultimately Campus Director. Mr. Kolapo understands all facets of campus operations and management.
As Campus Director at Albuquerque Job Corps Campus , he is responsible for the oversight and overall management of the career development services program serving 327 students. He provides strong leadership with a focus on the students and understands that meeting the needs of our customers (students, employers, and Department of Labor) is the key to success. He develops a professional and safe environment in which students can learn appropriate work skills and behaviors, including development of personal responsibility especially in the requirements of safety.
Mr. Kolapo attended the University of North Florida and graduated with a master’s degree in Industrial Education.
