Services

Since 2004, ODLE has provided comprehensive workforce development and youth services support at Job Corps campuses across the country.  Job Corps is a national residential career and technical education program serving disadvantaged students ages 16 to 24.

 

Partnering with the U.S. Department of Labor, the administrator of the federal Job Corps program, ODLE coordinates wraparound support services for young men and women, including but not limited to:

  • Academic education (GED, High School Diploma (HSD) and High School Equivalency (HSE) programs)
  • Career preparation training and industry-recognized credentialing in the following high-demand industries:
    • advanced manufacturing
    • automotive and machine repair
    • construction
    • finance and business
    • health care
    • security and protective services
    • hospitality
    • information technology
    • transportation
  • Career counseling
  • Health service management including:
    • Mental health counseling
    • Alcohol and drug abuse counseling
  • Residential and recreation program management
  • Food service management
  • Health and safety protocols
  • Logistics management
  • Facilities operation and maintenance
  • Transportation and vehicle fleet Management
  • Records management
  • Community, employer, and student outreach recruitment services
  • Job placement and follow-up services
  • Linkages with colleges and universities, local and regional employers, non-profits and support services organizations and the U.S.
