Founded in 1969 by Jack and Ruth Eckerd as the first outdoor therapeutic program for troubled girls in the southeast, E-Nini-Hassee remains the most trusted program of its kind in the United States.
The program includes a private, on-campus school which serves grades 6-12 and is accredited through the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Students in this program regularly achieve academic gains of more than two years in just six months. In addition, all academic credits are transferable.
Your financial support makes E-Nini-Hassee available to more of the young women who desperately need the second chances it provides.
Young girls may exhibit inappropriate and destructive behavior as a result of:
In these situations, parents search for answers but often experience frustration, guilt, anger, desperation, and despair. Left untreated, their daughter’s disorders can spiral into violence, suicide attempts, chronic mental illness, abuse, and trouble with the criminal justice system. But there is hope!
Located on 840 acres in central Florida, E-Nini-Hassee teaches girls leadership, teamwork, problem-solving, and communication skills. Small classes use thematic instruction and hands-on learning to achieve academic growth, improved self-concept, spiritual awareness, and understanding of service to the community. Students engage in individual, group, and family therapy to help girls accept responsibility for themselves.
At an average stay of 9 months, the cost of attendance is difficult for many of the families. That’s why it’s so important to donate to the E-Nini-Hassee scholarship fund.
What does your gift to the most trusted outdoor therapeutic school for girls promote? Simply, the healing and restoration of girls and their families.
