From Foster to Famous: Cher
Cher, 71, the ‘Goddess of Pop,’ has been a successful performing artist for more than five decades.
As a child, though, her life was anything but consistent. After multiple failed marriages and cross-country moves, Cher’s mother, Georgia Holt, was forced to place her daughter in a church-managed group home. Her stay was brief, and the pair were ultimately reunited.
