Eckerd Community Alternatives Hosts Child Welfare Bus Tour for Community Leaders

TAMPA, Fla. – Eckerd Community Alternatives recently announced it will host a Child Welfare Bus Tour on Thursday, December 1 from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with stops planned at various service centers and providers throughout Hillsborough County. This special day in the community was planned in order for community leaders to explore the different processes a parent may go through when applying for assistance at service centers and traveling on the bus transit system.

Leadership staff from Eckerd Community Alternatives, the lead agency for community-based child welfare services in Hillsborough County, will be on hand, as well as other community leaders involved in this specialized community alliance workgroup that focuses on how to better improve support systems provided to parents involved with the child welfare system.

This event provides an opportunity for our community leaders to make a personal connection between the child welfare work being done in the community and how we can better service our families. The bus will depart promptly at 7:30 a.m. from the offices of Eckerd Community Alternatives – Hillsborough at the Family Place.
