Department of Housing and Urban Development opens new C.A.R.E. Center in Albuquerque
New C.A.R.E. Center Benefits Albuquerque Job Corps Students
We are so proud that our Albuquerque Job Corps students are eager to make an impact within our community! Now they have a new resource in the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) programs’ Customer Assistance and Resident Engagement (C.A.R.E.) Center. The C.A.R.E. Center’s goals are to enhance its customer service model and hire more people who are eligible for HUD services. During a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony at the federal building, HUD Office of Field Policy and Management Assistant Deputy Secretary Peter A.
Hunter stated, “Our HUD C.A.R.E. Initiative, along with our effort to be partners with local Job Corps Centers here, improve our customer service and create pathways to meaningful employment for those we serve. Together, we are building a brighter future – one where economic opportunity and support are accessible to all.”
A group of our talented students made a trip to the C.A.R.E. Center for an inspiring experience, learning about job opportunities through HUD. Some were so enthused that they have accepted positions within the C.A.R.E. Center!
We are truly fortunate to be a partner with HUD. This the second C.A.R.E. Center in the nation. The media came out to cover the ribbon-cutting celebration.
