Denison Job Corps student says she was ‘stuck’ before starting building trades program

3NewsNow, a television station based in Omaha, Nebraska took time to visit our Denison Job Corps as well as the nearby City-run Aquatic Facility to see work-based students in action, learn more about Job Corps and check in on how well the new partnership with the City of Denison is going. In the words, of Parks Director Sam Ellis, “Excellent!”

Job Corps lifts up economically disadvantaged youth to help them in a number of ways from finishing high school to learning soft skills and earning industry-recognized credentials in both the health care and construction trades. The program is free to those who qualify. Check out the story!
