Connecticut Senate Passes ‘Safe Sleep’ Bill, DCF Seeks to Reduce Deaths
Connecticut’s General Assembly and the state Department of Children and Families are addressing unsafe sleep conditions, which is responsible for three times as many children death than child abuse. To combat infant deaths, Connecticut’s DCF will be partnering with Eckerd and their Rapid Safety Feedback® program.
“We will be working with them to reduce the likelihood of serious injury or fatality,” said Brian Lindert, Eckerd’s senior director of quality. “We will take a look at the fatalities that occurred in the past and compare those cases to others that didn’t have the same poor outcome.
