What children in foster care wish for!

As the holiday season comes to a wrap, there are still many vulnerable children who were wishing for more than the gifts under the tree, and instead for love, stability and a loving family that will embrace their challenges, recognize their pain, understand their trauma and break the cycle of rejection by opening up their homes and hearts.

Children do not ask to come into the foster care system; they are brought in as victims. Most children enter foster care with only the clothes on their backs, they do not have a toothbrush and carry the few belongings they have in a trash bag.  Can you imagine how frightening and confusing this would be?
