Catholic Charity Donates $1.8 Million; CARING Benefits

Sisters of Mercy of North Carolina Foundation announced grant awards totaling over $1.8 million to 42 nonprofit organizations Monday. Several charities in Western North Carolina made the cut, including CARING for Children, an Eckerd program.

CARING for Children in Asheville, NC was awarded $60,000 to help support expansion of the Assessment Counseling Education Mental Health Program for children and youth. CARING for Children is Eckerd’s first affiliation, announcing their partnership in August 2014.
