Kids in foster care often spend their holiday without their families or loved ones. But for some a special program called “Home for the Holidays” is paying for kids in the foster care system to fly and see their relatives for the holiday. For Daeshaunae Wooden, age 12, this means visiting her extended family in Chicago.
Eckerd Community Alternatives paid for her to go on a shopping spree in Target to buy sweaters, jeans, boots, a coat and other winter clothing essentials.
