60 Years Strong: Celebrating Job Corps’ Legacy Nationwide
Albuquerque Job Corps
The Albuquerque campus celebrated with a ribbon-cutting event in partnership with the Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce. Mayor Tim Keller proclaimed the day as “Job Corps Day,” and the campus band gave an incredible performance.
David L. Carrasco Job Corps
The campus hosted a reunion dinner and dance on August 17 with over 550 attendees, featuring local bands Azucar and The New Star City Band. The event was a resounding success, filled with pride and joy. KFOX, the local Fox News affiliate, featured a story on the reunion, including an interview with long-time employee and Job Corps graduate Eva Mariscal. (No link available)
Denison Job Corps
Denison hosted a week of activities, culminating in a key event on August 23 in partnership with the historic McHenry House. The event included community leaders, partners, and alumni. Denison was featured on KDSN radio. Listen here.
Jacksonville Job Corps
On August 16, Jacksonville celebrated with a 60th-anniversary themed graduation ceremony, where State Senator Tracie Davis was the keynote speaker. The campus also hosted a Career Fair on August 23. Watch the News4Jax segment here.
Old Dominion Job Corps
Old Dominion celebrated with a special luncheon, attended by community leaders and partners. The Student Government Association President expressed gratitude for the continued support of the program. Paul Simon Chicago Job Corps

Pinellas County Job Corps
The campus held a 60th-anniversary celebration alongside their 2024 graduation ceremony on August 9. Senator Marco Rubio’s office sent a representative, and the Mayor of St. Petersburg declared August 9 as “Job Corps Day.”

Pittsburgh Job Corps
Pittsburgh celebrated with a spirit week and held a special brunch on August 20, featuring local leaders. Pittsburgh Job Corps was featured on KDKA-TV’s “Intersections” show. Watch the segment.
Turner Job Corps
Turner celebrated with a week of activities, including a parade, assembly, and pep rally, culminating in a block party. Read the Albany Herald article here. Potomac Job Corps
Potomac held its graduation on August 16 and hosted a week of events, including a Career Fair and a luncheon honoring the 60th anniversary.
